The 5D 1st Root Chakra –
The Foundation of Your Being
The Root Chakra, also known as the First Chakra, is the energetic foundation of your entire being. Located at the base of the spine, it anchors you to the physical world, establishing your deepest connection to your body, your surroundings, and the Earth itself.
This chakra governs your basic needs, survival, safety, and stability. When balanced, it brings a sense of groundedness, strength, and presence. You feel safe in your body, secure in your life, and able to meet the world with confidence. You trust yourself, and you trust that the world will support you.
Physically, the Root Chakra is linked to the adrenal cortex glands and governs areas such as the back, spine, legs, hips, feet, and kidneys. When out of alignment, it can manifest as a range of health issues including:
- Fatigue
- Obesity or anorexia
- Osteoarthritis and other joint disorders
- Autoimmune diseases
- Cancer, AIDS
- Spinal or kidney problems
Emotionally, an imbalanced Root Chakra may stir up deep feelings of insecurity, fear, and anxiety. You may struggle with trust, feel disconnected from your body, or experience a pervasive sense of not belonging.
When underactive, you may feel nervous, unwelcome, or fragile, adrift in life, without a sense of anchor. When overactive, you might become overly materialistic, greedy, or resistant to change, clinging to what feels safe, even when it no longer serves you.
At its core, the Root Chakra is your survival centre. It houses your instinctual responses, your fight-or-flight reflex and fuels your will to live, your courage, and your resilience. It also holds deep ancestral memory, carrying the energetic imprint of generational experiences like war, famine, trauma, and natural disasters. These imprints can become unconscious patterns, passed down and held within the subtle body until we choose to heal them.
Balancing the Root Chakra is not just personal, it’s ancestral. It’s an act of reclaiming your power, your body, your right to exist and thrive. Only when we are truly rooted, can we reach upward, toward growth, change, and transformation.
Though all twelve main chakras are interconnected and essential, the Root Chakra must be balanced first. Without a solid foundation, higher spiritual work lacks the stability to be sustained. We cannot ascend without first feeling safe where we stand.
Traditionally, the Root Chakra vibrates with the energy frequency colour of red, bold, grounding, life-giving. But as you evolve into fifth-dimensional consciousness, it shifts into the luminous frequency of platinum, reflecting a higher, more refined vibration of safety, strength, and sacred embodiment.
