The Sacral Chakra, also known as the Second Chakra, is the energetic centre of emotion, sensuality, and creativity. Located about three inches below the navel, in the lower abdomen, it is the seat of your desires, your feelings, your pleasures and your power to create.
Physically, the Sacral Chakra governs the reproductive organs, kidneys, bladder, gallbladder, lower intestines, and pelvic region. When out of balance, it can manifest in physical ailments such as:

- Kidney or gallstones
- Sexual dysfunction
- Prostate or vaginal cancer
- Pelvic diseases
- Reproductive challenges
Emotionally, this chakra is tied to your relationship with desire, pleasure, and intimacy. It governs how freely you feel your emotions, how comfortably you express your sexuality, and how openly you connect to the creative flow of life.
When balanced, your emotions move freely, without overwhelming you. You’re open to intimacy, comfortable in your body, and alive with passion. You create with joy, whether it’s art, ideas, relationships or life itself.
When underactive, you may feel emotionally cold, shut down, or disconnected. You may struggle to relate to others or suppress your desires and emotions. If overactive, emotions may dominate your experience, leading to mood swings, emotional dependency, or compulsive sexual behaviour.
In the third dimension, the Sacral Chakra vibrates with the colour frequency of orange, warm and life-affirming. In the fifth dimension, it radiates a stunning hue of golden pink, reflecting a higher-frequency expression of sensuality and creativity infused with divine love.
This chakra is about feeling life through your body. Where the Root Chakra grounds you in survival, the Sacral Chakra invites you to dance with pleasure, to enjoy, to move, to taste, to touch. It encourages you to savour life, to feel every heartbeat, every breeze, every sensation fully.
Yet, this powerful energy centre is often wounded by modern cultural conditioning. We live in a world that often shames emotional expression, that glorifies sexuality while simultaneously repressing it. This contradiction creates confusion and imbalance within the Sacral Chakra, leading many to feel unworthy of love, pleasure, or creativity.
