The Crown Chakra is the seventh and highest chakra in line with the body, positioned at the top of the head. This chakra is the centre of enlightenment, truth, and oneness with the universe, linking us to the source of all creation.
This chakra governs the central nervous system, pineal gland, brain stem, and the top of the spinal cord, playing a vital role in our awareness of higher consciousness. When the Crown Chakra is open and balanced, it allows us to experience the profound unity that binds all life. It helps us access the spiritual wisdom that transcends the physical world, leading us to deep peace, serenity, and joy.
When the Crown Chakra is balanced, you find yourself deeply connected to the universe, to all living beings, and to the divine. You no longer see yourself as separate, but as part of a greater whole. You are open-minded, unprejudiced, and aware of both your inner self and the world around you. There is a deep sense of knowing that life has a purpose, that there is an order to existence that transcends the material world.
However, when this chakra is under-active, spiritual awareness becomes distant, and you may feel disconnected from higher wisdom. On the flip side, when the Crown Chakra is over-active, there’s a risk of becoming intellectually detached, overanalysing spiritual concepts while neglecting your body’s physical needs. The Crown Chakra is the centre of unity, the place where the finite (your body and ego) meets the infinite (the universe and your soul). It transcends personal ego and brings you to a state of mystical oneness. This energy allows you to experience the truth that everything in existence is interconnected, existing in a divine flow of energy that many spiritual traditions refer to as the Akasha, Zero Point Field, or simply The Field.
In this space, there is no intellectual knowing, only direct experience of unity. Here, there is a serenity that comes from knowing that life, with all its complexities, has a deeper meaning. It is the place of eternal peace, where you can feel the flow of energy that sustains all of life. In Tantric philosophy, the Crown Chakra is both a receiver and a giver of energy and consciousness, it takes in spiritual energy that sustains life and returns it to the collective consciousness.
This chakra represents the meeting point between the physical and spiritual realms. It is the junction where time and timelessness converge, where life and death meet, and where eternal life exists in harmony with the temporal world.
The colour frequency of the Crown Chakra in the 3rd and 4th dimensions is typically a deep violet, representing spiritual royalty and transformation. In the 5th dimension, however, its energy has evolved into a golden halo, radiating the divine light of universal consciousness.
The Crown Chakra is the ultimate point of spiritual connection, a reminder that we are not only part of the universe but that we are the universe itself. When this chakra is open and balanced, we experience a deep, profound connection with all that is. It allows us to transcend the limits of the self, opening us to the infinite potential of the divine.
